Papillion, NE—the county seat of Sarpy County—has grown from a small railroad village founded in 1870, to one of the top-rated suburbs of the metro Omaha area. With a current population of over 23,000 (2024), it ranks in the top ten of many national surveys of smaller communities for its livability, affordability, educational system, and environment for raising a family.
